The ancient capital of Cyprus lies in the southwest coast of Cyprus, around 50 km west from Limassol with population around 50.000. Paphos city is the capital of Paphos district and the fourth largest town of Cyprus. The upper part of town hosts all governmental services, schools, hospitals, and big shopping centres.

Kato Pafos, the lower part of Pafos is the main tourist area. It focuses around the picturesque fishing harbor and medieval fort. Restaurants, fish tavernas, cafeterias, souvenir shops, beautiful hotels with important archaeological sites around them make this part of Pafos one of the hottest tourist destinations not only in Cyprus, but in Mediterranean as well.
